We will focus mainly on skills and drills the first few weeks then slowly introduce mini games such as steal the bacon, 1 on 1, 2 on 2, dribble knockout etc.

Valley 3V3 Program is open to Boys and Girls age 3 – 12.

During this 7 week program your child will learn the basics of Basketball while enjoying the benefits of regular exercise and team building, while  having fun.

Monday and Wednesday nights – 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm

Practices start November 4th.

No Parents in the gym for practice unless you are signed up to coach.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW & OBJECTIVES

The Grove City YMCA Youth Basketball is a two part program designed for kids of all ages. It allows for you to choose how you want your child to develop in the game. There will be options for you to sign up for Skills and Drills and/or Game Nights. On Skills and Drills night, the goal is to sharpen all aspects of the game, prioritizing development in the basics without playing the game itself. Game Nights will be solely for game play, teaching the ins and outs of the game. Teams will be created to play together each week. There is the option to participate in both to get the most of out the program. We will only offer this option to ages 5-12. (3&4 yr. old will only be offered Skills and Drills)

Skills and Drills Night

• Skills Night will run Mondays or Tuesdays November 4th to December 9th
• Open to boys and girls 3-12 years old
• Age divisions 3-4, 5-8, 9-12
• Times: 5pm, 6pm, and 7pm (Age group dependent)
• Skill learning and technical ability training
• No T-Shirt for the Soccer Clinic

Game Night

• Game Nights will run on Mondays or Tuesdays November 5th to December 10th
• Open to boys and girls 5-12
• Age divisions 5-6, 7-9, 10-12
• Times: 5pm, 6pm, 7pm(Age group dependent)
• Game play every night
• Each player will receive a team shirt

Kids in K & 1st grade- Six 1 Hour Sessions 

Saturdays, November & December – Times TBD (based of # of sign ups) after registration – You will receive an email with the times for your kid to be dropped off

No Games will played in this division.  It is all skill and drills. We will focus on the basics on shooting, dribbling, passing and some basketball concepts.

Kids will need a water bottle and clean athletic shoes. No flip flops or crocs. The Y will provide a team shirt after the 1st week.

Valley Basketball Skills Clinic

This clinic will offer young athletes the opportunity to enhance their dribbling, shooting, and passing skills all while having fun and all inclusive drills. This program welcomes all skill levels from beginners to advanced.
