You have 1 month to complete this Ironman Triathlon Challenge challenge.

Rules: 

  • Events must be completed in order of a traditional Ironman competition: swim, bike, then run. Full or half must be designated at time of sign up
  • Flippers, paddles, or any other assisting floatation devices are not
    permitted during the swim
  • Distances must be recorded on the tracking sheet posted outside the
    Fitness Center
  • Each participant that completes the challenge by May 21st  will receive a prize!
  • $20 / Members

Mileage:

  • Swim: 36 laps in the big pool (lap- down and back) = 1 mile
    Full- 2.4 miles= 86.5 laps;  Half– 1.2 miles= 43 laps
  • If swimming is not physically possible, you may use the Rower:
    1 mile= 1,609 meters; Full= 10 mi (16,090 meters); Half= 5 mi (8,045 meters)
  • Bike: miles may be completed on an upright, spin, or recumbent bike
    Full= 112 miles                         Half= 56 miles
  • Run/walk: miles may be completed on track (22 laps = 1 mile),
    treadmill, outside if starting and finishing at the Y, or in the pool  (73 laps down and back in spa pool = 1 mile)
    Full= 26.2 miles                       Half= 13.1 miles
