Membership Info

Mission Statement:

To foster strong individuals, families, and community with Christian values by providing quality programs that strengthen spirit, mind & body for all.

Purpose:

The YMCA of Grove City is a non-profit charitable organization. It is an association of persons of all ages who are unified in a common effort to put Judeo-Christian principles into practice through programs that promote healthy lifestyles, strengthens the family, develops leadership in youth, builds international understanding, and assists in community development.

Privileges of Memberships:

  • Use of the YMCA during operating hours
  • Complimentary aquatic exercise classes
  • Complimentary group exercise classes
  • Use of the fitness center for ages 12 and up.
  • Complimentary fitness consultation with a trained instructor which includes the instruction and proper use of the cardiovascular equipment and weight training equipment
  • Reduced program fees including early registration
  • Childwatch is FREE to Members, while using our facility.
  • Grove City YMCA Childwatch Hours: 8am - 11am Monday through Friday 6pm - 8pm Monday through Thursday
  • Franklin YMCA Childwatch Hours: 9am - 12:30pm Monday through Thursday 5pm - 8pm Monday through Thursday

Additional Privileges for Family Memberships Include:

  • Reduced rate progressive youth swim lessons including parent-tot classes

Child Watch Info & Hours:

Franklin Branch:
Child Watch is offered to our members and program participants in order to allow them to use the facility while their children 3 months to 7 years old are cared for in a safe, fun environment.  Child Watch is located in the First Presbyterian Church, located diagonally across the street from the YMCA.  Parents must complete the Child Watch Information & Policy forms and remain in the YMCA during the time their child is using the Child Watch program.

Monday - Friday 9:00-12:30pm
Monday - Thursday 5:00-8:00pm
Fee:
Free to YMCA Members
Non-Members: $2/hr per child

Grove City Branch: Child Watch is offered to our members and program participants in order to allow them to use the facility while their children 3 months to 7 years are cared for in a safe, fun environment. Child Watch is located in the main building next to the group exercise room. Parents must complete the Child Watch information and policy forms and remain in the YMCA during the time their child is using the Child Watch program.

Hours:

Monday-Friday 8:00-11:00am

Monday-Thursday 6:00-8:00pm

FREE to Members. NonMembers $2/hour per child

Code of Conduct:
Everyone using the YMCA is expected to behave in a mature and responsible way to respect the rights and dignity of others. The YMCA of Grove City insists that individuals using this facility demonstrate caring, responsible, respectful and honest behavior. Our code of conduct does not permit profane language or language or action that can hurt or frighten another person. Any inappropriate behavior, including but not limited to, aggressive or threatening behavior, sexual harassment, inappropriate language or any inappropriate sexual activity will result in suspension or termination of membership.

Camera Policy:
To protect the YMCA members and guests from unauthorized photos of the YMCA limits the use of imaging of any type (cameras, cell phones, IPod, etc.) to the front lobby. Use of imaging in the facility is prohibited and may lead to suspension or termination of YMCA privileges. Video recorders, cameras, or any other visual recording devices are not allowed within the YMCA without the express written consent of the CEO/COO. Anyone caught taking pictures of another person without their permission and knowledge may be prosecuted to the full extent of the law by the YMCA and may lead to the termination of their membership.
