The FRANKLIN/GROVE CITY YMCA, in keeping with its mission to help all people realize their fullest potential, encourages and supports the participation of all children and their families in YMCA programs. We serve all children and their families regardless of gender, race, color, nationality, religion, ethnicity, disability or language. Whether a child is non-disabled or has special needs, consideration is given to the individual needs of every child and the ability of the program to meet those needs.
No child under the age of 12 will be allowed to be in the building without direct supervision by parent/guardian, after 7:30pm.
Children age 8 and up cannot be left unattended, (not in a specific program) for more than 3 hours per day.
All children under the age of 9 must have direct supervision of a parent/guardian or member over the age of 16.
All Children age 7 and under, not in the care of our childwatch program, must have direct supervision of a parent/guardian or a member over the age of 14. Children age 8 and up are permitted in our facility without direct supervision, but should not be left more than 3 hours unless participating in a program. Children must be 9 and up to swim without adult supervision. All children must be supervised by an adult if it is after 5:30pm.
When using the Y facilities you MUST scan your membership card. Scanning your card helps protect the security of the building and the safety of members and their possessions as well as ensuring that the value of the membership is protected.
If your card has been lost, a new card will be issued for $2.00.
When you travel and want to use a YMCA in another city, you must contact that YMCA to inquire what their AWAY Policy is. Each YMCA establishes its own "AWAY" policy. FRANKLIN/GROVE CITY YMCA extends an open invitation to "AWAY" members from YMCA's more than 50 miles away to use our facility, free of charge, up to 9 visits per calendar year. A "Guest of Adult Member" rate, will apply after that point.
