Grove City Y gets 6 new spin bikes!
Dec. 12, 2011 • Grove CityBe an Everyday Hero – Help Support our Scholarship Program
The Y works every day to solve many of the issues we are all most concerned about. For decades we have offered programs that help kids reach their potential; that help families and individuals achieve better health outcomes; and that encourage everyone to get involved and make their community a better place. Our goal is to bring more services to more people in the key areas of: Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility. Our Everyday Heroes Annual Giving Campaign isn’t just about raising money; it is about helping people in our community when they need us the most. As a charitable organization, we consider it an honor, and our reason for being, to be able to help those in need by providing quality programs that promote respect, responsibility, honesty, caring and good health; turning no one away due to their inability to pay.
A Thankful Scholarship Recipient’s Story:
“The YMCA is a wonderful organization in our community. My family has benefited in many ways, from making new friends to being in the best shape ever. My children get to enjoy many different activities, along with new friends, and social skills which has given them a great deal of self-esteem. We’d like to say how thankful we are to everyone who helps support the financial assistance program, without it my family would never be able to enjoy the YMCA and all it has to offer.”
Since our inception, the Franklin & Grove City YMCA has been committed to strengthening our communities. With your help we hope to continue doing so for decades to come. We view participation in our programs and services as a means to a greater end and with your support, we can continue to help those in need. With your support, more children can deepen their positive values, strengthen their commitment to service and increase their motivation to learn. More families can build stronger bonds, achieving greater work life balance and become more engaged in their communities. More individuals will be able to improve their well-being and connect with people who care.
Like you, we are most concerned about the problems facing our communities. Like the Y, you understand we must all pitch in to make a difference in our community. We respectfully ask for your thoughtful consideration of supporting our 2011 Everyday Heroes Campaign.
