After School at the Y

A fee free youth program for ages 8-14 years old supported by a grant given by the Grove City Area United Way. The After School Program takes place from 2:30-5:30pm each school day.

To register:

All you need is an active membership to the GROVE CITY YMCA. Sign your child up for a youth membership or join as a household. Youth scholarships are available to those in need provided by the Grove City Area United Way and other gracious donors!

Memorial Park Pool

2016 Memorial Park Pool Rules

*Do not distract the lifeguards.  If you have any questions, please see the park pool supervisor in the pool house. 


  • Anyone going off the diving board MUST be wearing a blue wrist band.
  • All children under the age of nine (9) years must be accompanied by a parent/guardian or responsible individual 14 years or older who will stay with them and DIRECTLY SUPERVISE them at ALL TIMES.
  • No diving form the pool sides
  • Flotation devices: Bubbles (provided by our staff) or water wings. No other devices are acceptable.
  • No throwing children in the air; No rough play; No dunking or chicken fighting.
  • ALL tobacco products are BANNED from the facility.
  • 0 TOLERANCE for alcohol: The police will be called immediately!

Memorial Park Pool may close due to inclement weather.  The Pool Staff will clear the pool area at the first sound of thunder.  If the pool stays closed for 1 hour or more, the pool may remain closed for the remainder of the day.  If the pool remains closed, rain checks will be available.  MEMORIAL PARK POOL may close if patron attendance drops below 10.

Wrist Bands issued by the Park Pool Supervisor following

  • Red-shallow water only
  • Yellow-Middle section-one width of the pool
  • Blue-all areas of the pool including diving board--must swim 2 widths of the crawl stroke WITHOUT STOPPING or TOUCHING THE BOTTOM.

Babysitter Pass: Anyone under the age of 60 providing childcare must purchase an individual pass or pay a daily fee.

 Seniors (60 and over) and children under 2 are FREE with drivers license. 

Group Organizations-must have a minimum of 20 people to receive a group rate of $2.50 per person.  Less than 20 the daily rate will be charged.

Program Arena

The Grove City YMCA proudly offers its Program Arena, a multi-use venue, which was completed in 2012. This most recent addition to the Grove City Y provides a variety of activities for all ages and interests. The arena is broken into 3 main sections: The Rink, The Group Exercise Studio, and The Teen Center.


The 180 x 75 foot space is outfitted with a multi-purpose floor, complete with a Sport Court Tile Surface . This surface is predominately used for hockey but it can also accommodate a range of activities including:

  • Inline Hockey
  • Foot Hockey
  • Indoor Soccer
  • Flag Football
  • Ultimate Frisbee
  • Kickball
  • Dodge ball
  • Open Skate
  • Open Stick Time

Visit the Recreation or Team Sports tabs for listings of sports leagues, times, and costs.

The entire rink is surrounded by “Dasher Boards and Glass,” made by Athletica, “The Preferred Rink Equipment Provider of the NHL.” Also included are spectator bleachers, changing areas, and a walking path around the outside of the rink.

This studio provides a spacious environment for exercise classes of many different intensities and difficultly levels. Outfitted with new equipment, this studio can be used for a variety of exercise programs and routines.

The Teen Center is an area for teens to go and hang out after school or during the summer months. It has several TV’s, a foosball table, gaming systems, and couches.

Wellness Center

The air-conditioned Fitness Center is located on the top floor of the YMCA, overlooking the six-lane swimming pool and full-court gymnasium.  An initial orientation is required for everyone who utilizes the fitness center.  Fitness instructors are available from 6:00am until 9:00pm to answer questions, spot, and supervise the facility.

Please consult your doctor before starting any exercise program.  A health questionnaire will need to be answered before participating, and if needed, a medical consent form can be sent for your doctors approval.

Your membership includes:

  • 1.  One personal orientation session which consists of a YMCA Professional Staff member showing you how to use the cardiovascular and weight training equipment.
  • 2.  One inpidual fitness consultation with a Certified Personal Trainer.  Additional training sessions are available by appointment only.

The Newly renovated Fitness Center is on the top floor of "The Y", where it overlooks a six lane swimming pool and full court-gym.  The next generation of equipment employed here gives a full body workout with emphasis on the major muscle groups, as well as those muscles used less often.  Orientations are required for all Fitness Center patrons.  Instructors are available from 6am-9pm to answer questions, sport and supervise.
